… You held my hands
… You were my strength
… You repeated your silly jokes
Happy Anniversary! Hunny… And many more 13 years…
Happy Anniversary! Hunny… And many more 13 years…
I don’t think I was so vain when I was in Pri 1. Dylan very much wanted a ‘slanted’ fringe. And when his hair grew longer, he did the unimaginable… He decided to go D.I.Y. I wonder where he get the idea from? Must be the influence of those Korean dramas that we have been watching… Aigoo…
I super like this photo. 3 April birthday babies cutting the cake. Not to mention 1 super cute baby posing with her all time favourite victory sign. Is it just me that I find her pose a little too ‘korean’?
Cheng and Dylan are both born in April. Thus yearly April will always be a “busy” month for me (well at least on the first half). I don’t really like crowds thus party is always a family affair. This year I chose to have a short staycation with April babies at Crowne Plaza Hotel. Why airport? Cos near my house… can rush back in time to send kids to school if need be. Most of all…. It is QUIET!
And as for my little boy… His birthday is just 3 days away from wifey. I am always thankful that he don’t ask for big parties every year. He is just contended to have his Lego set and not to forget his beloved ice-cream.
A storm is coming. Sometime… life may not be fair. But have FAITH and be of GOOD CHEER! The Sun will always shine after the storm.
Was fiddling with my camera and decided to do a macro shot with Dylan’s colour pencils. I took this with the help of 36mm Kenko Extension Tube on my EF 100mm f2.0 lens.
We were friends since 1991. Who would have known that 20plus years later our friendship is still as strong as ever. The last time we travelled together was to Tioman in 1995. This year we decided to give it a try again but with very different logistics. As you can see we have many other priorities now.
As I get older, I begin to appreciate the simplicity of life more. I don’t need fancy parties. Neither do I need expensive presents (of cos if you’ve already bought it, I gladly receive it. hahaha). Simple gestures and meals are more than enough to fill my day. Thank you friends for making my day special. Most importantly, my family for making everyday my birthday!
First week of school is finally over. And so is my “honeymoon” period. Past few days, Dylan had brought back some school work. Maybe I am not so smart… I found myself having to google for the answers (Thank God for internet). Seriously… I don’t remember if my parents sat down with me for an hour or so going through my homework. After today, I can see what I will be doing on most weekends…
Yesterday he put on the school uniform. My little boy has grown up! I can’t remember much about my primary 1 but I can certainly say that he is more excited than I was. With just $2 in his pocket, we set off for school. Initially, both Cheng and I were still concerned that he may not eat/adapt well but when we saw him during recess time, we were relieved. He bought himself a slice of chocolate cake, a bowl of noodles and saved up the remaining 40 cents.
Finally back at home, I asked him what will he be eating the next day. And he got it all planned.
Dylan: I want to eat 3 things. A donut, noodles, and a drink…
Looks like I may need to increase his allowance.
It has been raining and it is still drizzling. We stayed home today and decided to pack his stuff. 2013 will not just be a new phase for Dylan but for me and Cheng as well. Excited but yet anxious about him entering into primary school. We are trying our best not to be KS parents.
A typical Christmas gathering. This year we celebrated at Kiat’s new place. It’s wacky this time as we had great fun dancing to the Xbox games. How was your Christmas?
One of my favourite photos this week. They were posing for their camera. I happened to walked passed and quickly took a candid shot. Don’t think they notice me…
Our dear friends are back from UK and Fujairah. It is time for another long awaited gathering. And I quote from one of us…
“26 years on, some of us remained at the same height as before, some put on weight, some lost weight, many now have families of their own. One thing stood the test of time, our friendships! It was good meeting up with some of my primary school friends today.”
I leave it to you to guess which one of us stop growing… put on weight (not me), lost weight…. etc.
